Original July 1969 Canadian Rockies Travel Collection – 20 Vintage 35mm Color Slides
Nice original group of 20 vintage Kodak Ektachrome 35mm color slides from a July 1969 trip through Jasper and the Canadian Rockies.
This is a great period collection documenting Canadian tourism and everyday travel during the late 1960s. Highlights include Jasper Park Lodge and grounds, lodge cabins, swimming pool, dining, golf course, vintage automobiles, wildlife, Columbia Icefield/Athabasca Glacier and the period snowmobile tour.
One of the standout slides is a close-up of the distinctive red Bombardier tracked snow coach at the glacier. Another shows the original wooden:
“SNOWMOBILE TOUR – COLUMBIA ICE FIELDS – JASPER NATL. PARK – CANADA”
Other interesting images include a black bear crossing the highway with vintage automobiles stopped nearby, deer, lodge architecture and employees, period hotel/resort life, mountain scenery and Kootenay Lake ferry scenes.
These are original vintage photographic slides, not modern reproductions. They show normal age-related dust, marks and imperfections. Please view the photos and video carefully for content and condition.
